How thrilling to pretend to be a bird looking down on cities and observing them as ever-changing organisms. For nearly 50 years, I was a city planner working in places like London and Shanghai. I use this experience to take an aerial perspective,which allows my paintings to observe urban environments from a different angle. My long career in city planning gave me insights into people at work and on the move.
